There are a number of major gameplay changes absent from Tekken 4, such as uneven terrain, giving way to a more traditional and faster gameplay. Gameplay

As a character attacks, Tekken 5 incorporates a crush system that makes them more vulnerable. A move with jumping properties, like a hop kick, is completely invulnerable to all of the opponent’s low attacks during the majority of its animation time.

Although it is included, wall juggling is harder to abuse and dodge than in Tekken 4. As Tekken 2, Tekken 3, and StarBlade are also included in this home version, it is a collector’s edition of sorts. For the first time in the series, Tekken 5 allowed players to customize their fighter by changing colors of their outfits, buying additional costumes, and equipping them with items by using money earned from Story, Survival, Time Attack, the side-story Devil Within, & Arcade Battle modes.

Devil Within, an in-game minigame in the lineage of the Tekken Force modes in Tekken 3 & 4, is included in Tekken 5 Iso. Jin Kazama’s journey through the G Corporation looks for answers about his mother’s disappearance as well as other clues in this minigame. Because the game is somewhat story-based, players are not permitted to choose their own characters as in previous iterations. There are also a few buttons in the game, including a Block & Jump button and “Punch” & “Kick” buttons. While playing the mini-game, players need to do minor key quests as well as fight the different Jack models. The Devil Jin mode is one of two ways to unlock the playable version of Jin’s Devil incarnation, Devil Jin.
